We had a fascinating talk on Friday by Russell Attwood, an inspirational speaker on the No Dig method of gardening. Although it's not 'no work' it's proven to cut down on weeding and watering (which is really important for us given our sandy soil) and of course makes use of lots of organic matter which is easily sourced. His 'weed and drop' technique is particularly appealing! And of course No Dig reduces carbon release from the soil so it's much better for our environment.
